Presently the Area Conservationist supervising conservation operations and programs for 22 counties in Eastern Idaho for the USDA/NRCS. Served as the State Rangeland Management Specialist; USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS;) Huron, SD for sixteen years. Was responsible for all USDA/NRCS range and pasture land programs within South Dakota including all aspects of vegetation establishment and management with emphasis in grazing management systems. Other USDA/NRCS positions held include District Conservationist and Rangeland Management Specialist in several field offices in South Dakota. Employed by a private consulting company where he managed an office conducting detailed rangeland assessments on tribal rangelands throughout the Dakotas. Worked for the U.S. Forest Service conducting research and resource inventory on pinyon/juniper woodlands throughout the inter-mountain region. In 2001, volunteered for a thirty day detail to Mongolia where he trained Mongolian herdsman on grazing management.
